概要	This review compares experimental approaches intended to modify maladaptive or failing memories in cognitive dysfunction. It considers cognitive-behavioral procedures, pharmacological manipulation of memory reconsolidation, and direct neuromodulation techniques that target memory circuits. Each approach offers a different balance of specificity, durability, invasiveness, and risk, while evidence for efficacy and safety remains uneven. The article argues that memory editing may eventually help disorders ranging from trauma-related conditions to dementia, but current methods require stronger mechanistic validation, ethical scrutiny, and controlled clinical testing before they can be used as dependable therapeutic tools.
