| 概要 | This review summarizes the physiological and pathological roles of neuronal nitric oxide synthase, the principal neuronal source of nitric oxide. Under normal conditions, nNOS supports synaptic transmission, plasticity, learning, and memory. Dysregulated activity can instead contribute to oxidative and nitrosative stress in Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and mood disorders. The article compares disease-specific changes in nNOS localization and signaling and considers therapeutic opportunities. Because nitric oxide can be protective or toxic depending on concentration, timing, and cellular context, successful interventions will require selective modulation rather than broad inhibition. |
