概要	This study examines Vietnam’s tourism development during its transition from a centrally planned economy to a socialist-oriented market economy. It highlights the balance between centralisation and decentralisation, and between economic and social objectives, while emphasising the role of domestic tourism and community and business resilience. The study demonstrates how Vietnam’s political-economic system has shaped the evolution of its tourism industry.
