| 概要 | This study used data-mining and network-analysis methods to identify underexplored molecular targets through which melatonin may act in Alzheimer’s disease. Integrating genes associated with melatonin and Alzheimer-related pathways produced two prominent clusters centered on MMP2 and NR3C1. These genes connect steroid-hormone signaling, apoptosis, monoamine neurotransmission, amyloid clearance, and neuroinflammatory processes. The analysis expands the mechanistic focus beyond melatonin’s established antioxidant and anti-amyloid actions. MMP2 and NR3C1 are proposed as priority targets for experimental validation, biomarker development, and studies of how melatonin modifies Alzheimer’s pathophysiology. |
