| 概要 | This review examines impaired adult neurogenesis in Alzheimer’s disease and evaluates melatonin as a regulator of neuronal renewal and survival. It integrates evidence linking circadian disruption, oxidative stress, inflammation, and reduced hippocampal neurogenesis with cognitive decline. Preclinical studies indicate that melatonin can support neural progenitor proliferation, differentiation, survival, and memory-related function through several converging pathways. The authors identify melatonin-regulated neurogenesis as a promising therapeutic direction, while emphasizing that dosing, timing, disease stage, and limited clinical evidence must be resolved before preclinical benefits can be translated into treatment. |
