概要	This review synthesizes a decade of clinical and preclinical research on deep brain stimulation of the subcallosal cingulate for treatment-resistant depression. It covers more than 446 treated patients and 29 animal studies focused on homologous medial prefrontal regions. Across clinical studies, response rates were approximately 64–76% and remission rates 37–63% after six to twenty-four months. Experimental evidence implicates neuroplasticity, transmitter systems, and both circuit-dependent and circuit-independent mechanisms. The review presents encouraging long-term outcomes while stressing the need for better patient selection, targeting, stimulation parameters, and controlled trials.
