概要	The paper argues that crowdfunding can provide an alternative source of finance for Indian startups and SMEs that struggle to access traditional capital markets and bank funding. It explains different crowdfunding models and notes that India has used community-based funding even before the modern term “crowdfunding” emerged. It concludes that developing a suitable crowdfunding framework in India could support entrepreneurship, technology development, and employment generation, particularly by improving early-stage access to finance.
