概要 Across two studies, this research tested whether impulsiveness and glucose regulation predict behavioral flexibility. The first study found no reliable relationship between fasting glucose or impulsiveness and performance on Stroop and card-sorting measures. In the second, lower impulsiveness and a smaller postprandial glucose rise predicted fewer total and perseverative card-sorting errors, but not Stroop performance. The findings suggest that glucoregulation and trait impulsiveness relate selectively to rule-shifting rather than all forms of executive control, and that post-meal metabolic response may be more informative than fasting glucose alone.
