| 概要 | This randomized crossover trial tested acute ginseng and Ginkgo biloba supplementation in two groups of 24 healthy adults while monitoring cognition and cardiovascular reactivity. Ginkgo at 120 or 240 mg improved Stroop and executive-task performance in women but not men, and it reversed task-related cardiovascular responses. Ginseng produced no reliable cognitive benefit. The results suggest that Ginkgo’s acute effects are sex-specific and may be linked to cardiovascular modulation rather than a uniform enhancement of cognition. They also illustrate why physiological responses should be considered when evaluating herbal cognitive supplements. |
