| 概要 | This review proposes DNA methylation as a mechanism through which transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation may regulate memory. It first summarizes the neurophysiological and biochemical pathways engaged by auricular stimulation, then examines how methylation regulators such as DNMT3a and readers such as MeCP2 influence learning and synaptic plasticity. Because neuronal activity can modify these epigenetic processes, stimulation may produce durable memory effects by altering gene regulation. The hypothesis is plausible but not yet directly established, so the article outlines experiments needed to test causal molecular links and optimize stimulation. |
