概要 | The Japanese government has been strictly controlling the use of PCR tests by medical doctors, requiring them to show that a patient has been affected with severe symptoms before they can ask for the permission to have the test done. The limitations were so strict that the Japanese Medical Association complained reporting that hundreds of doctors’ requests for these tests were denied. This policy is wrong, because the main function of PCR tests in COVID-19 is for case-finding not clinical diagnosis. |
