概要 In this study, we conducted word shadowing practice for Chinese L1 learners of Advanced Japanese to verify whether there is transformation in the processing stage before and after the practice. And we also examined the relationship between the reaction time and the processing pattern based on individuals. As a result, the reaction time of the post-test and delay-test was shortened relative to the pre-test. Phonological similarities were determined to cause this promotional effect through analysis of variance. On the other hand, some advanced learners with a long learning history experienced little change in reaction time after word shadowing practice. Thus, to enhance visual-aural connections we propose that integrating orthographic and phonological information into Kanji-word practice should be introduced at the low-intermediate level for Chinese L1 learners of Japanese.
