| Details | This paper analyzes the default risk of Indonesian government bonds using CDS spreads and macro-financial variables. It examines how exchange rates, foreign reserves, inflation, trade conditions, and global market sentiment affect sovereign credit risk. The results indicate that exchange-rate movements and international financial market conditions are particularly important drivers of Indonesia’s CDS spreads. The study concludes that sovereign default risk in emerging markets is influenced not only by domestic fundamentals but also by external market shocks. |
