概要	Importance of DS/CDMA systems in the field of communication can hardly be overemphasized. This technology forms the backbone of various communication standards being used internationally. The course did not focus on any particular technology; it rather introduced detailed implementation of generic CDMA systems. Initially a fundamental single user DS/CDMA system was implemented using C language. Effect of spreading sequences and pertinent interesting results were presented. Code acquisition in CDMA systems was discussed in detail. Synchronous and asynchronous systems in single user and multiuser scenarios were discussed and simulated. Each session included one lecture and lab practice. Approximately one hour lecture was followed by a two hours lab practice where software implementation of the discussed concepts were carried out using C language and Matlab.
