Item	Major seminars with intensive research skill training for third year students
Details	In the last two years , I have employed research-project learning for third year seminar students. I introduce a new curriculum covering contents of research design , implementation and analysis. Each semester , I set up a seminar research topic and students collaborate with each other to design an instrument (interview questions or survey questionnaire) , then collected data by going to the field. Finally , I teach them to analyse the collected data by using both methods , qualitative and quantitative with special software. The seminar research topics are designed in collaboration with local tourism organisation , so the research outcome might be applicable to local tourist destinations or local events. This initiative has proven to be useful to students' thesis writing and helps reduce thesis drop rate.
