Item	Core Speaking Assessment
Details	Working with LCs and other English faculty , I led the development of a new core speaking assessment. This assessment is designed to promote consistency across the curriculum and help students to develop speaking skills that are relevant both at APU and outside the university. The assessment is modelled on a Cambridge University test , and is a proficiency test which measures the student's actual ability in the language. The implementation of this test across the English Program promises to have a range of benefits in terms of reliability , validity and wash-back.
