Item Case Study "Promotion of Entrepreneurship by Information Technology"
Details The entrepreneurship rate (= start-up rate) and the real GDP growth rate positive correlation is observed (OECD, 2001). However, Japan's start-up rate has remained at a low level compared to Europe and the United States. From this situation, in order to increase Japan's competitiveness, it is important to promote entrepreneurship. Information technology (IT) enables to supply IT services. By creating, selecting, using and combining the IT services, it is possible to promote the entrepreneurship by IT. In the other perspective, IT products have digitalized and enable to manufacture by fabless venture company. Thus, the typical cases were selected such as CyberAgent Crowdfunding Inc. of crowdfunding, A Inc of collaboration platform and UPQ Inc. of IT product fabless venture. As the results of the case study, the promotion effects of IT for the entrepreneurship are clarified.
